  Here are all of the final exam scores.  The highest possible
  mark was 91.

  Because the exam was too long, I decided to use 83 instead of 91
  as a denominator for determining the exam component in the overall
  course score.  For example, if you got 77 on the final, your exam
  component would be

            (77 / 83.0) * 50.0 = 46.39

  NOTE: All problems on the exam counted.  I did NOT leave out the 
  last problem or any other problem.


STATISTICS ON FINAL EXAM SCORES

  All statistics are based on the raw score on the final out of a
  maximum of 91.

  75th percentile:   73
  Median:            64
  25th percentile:   52

  Average:              62.1
  Sample std deviation: 13.2

   This formula is for ENEL 339 only, in Fall 1999 only.  Do not
   assume that it applies to any other course.
