Course Outline
Combinational design, bistable multivibrators, synchronous and asynchronous design implementation techniques, analysis of state machines. Formal state machine design. Several industrial state machine designs are reviewed. Emphasis is placed on completeness and accuracy of the formal state transition table as well as on the engineering design of industrial processes. A project will be conducted by the student on an industrial based design.
