APPLY TO A PROGRAM IN ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING

Prospective High School Students / Transfer Students

All students apply to the Schulich School of Engineering for admission into first-year common core. After completing first year, they choose a program of study i.e. software engineering. There are just over 700 spaces available in first-year engineering to entering (frosh) high
school and transfer students. The school receives more than 2,000 applications for admission each year, so acceptance is competitive. Applications for admission are submitted electronically through the University of Calgary MyUofC online portal.

Current Engineering Students / Transfer Students

All current students who have completed first year and are in good academic standing are guaranteed a place in a program, but not all are guaranteed a place in their first choice of program. If more students choose a particular program than there are spaces available, selections are made on the basis of academic performance.
